No stranger to the world of professional sailing, In 2005, Trapani was the location for chapters 8 and 9 of the Louis Vuitton Cup, part of the 32nd America's Cup.

It is characterised by long stretches of coast and coastal plains, lavish monuments and palaces, ancient sites, windmills, islands, quaint provincial towns and countryside. Ideally facing west so as to see some of the most spectacular sunsets in Europe.
Apart from its shape, Trapani will surprise you because of its position, between sea and mountain, that is between Mount Erice and the waters where the Egadi islands rise--Favignana, Levanzo et Marettimo.
